The music album actually rocked the nation some time back with it’s new genre of rock music which is kind of new to indian music and indian cinema . Naturally , it arose great expectations for the movie.
The movie story is a thin waffer line , four friends forming a rock band and trying to make it big . But due to some personal conflicts , they part ways and ten years later how they re-unite to create that magic which they left back some time . The movie is all about living your dreams.
We would have heard similar kind of stories , what makes this impressive is the very feel and treatment of the movie. It’s too good .
The style factor is incredible and certainly takes the movie to the next level.The place where they practise music , the attires they wore and the attitude of each one in the band is simply refreshing.The attention to details of every minute thing by the director is truly commendable.
Farhan seems to a gifted child – he has given an amazing performance as the lead singer of the band . His USP is his very unusal voice and his vocals are kind of refreshing . Kudos Farhan , your truly a genius.
Arjun Rampal has done a fabulous job as the stylist guitarist . Purab as the rap drummer has enactled wonderfully with his kewl atttitude and witty humour. Kelly as the keyboard player too has played his part well .Oh My God , Prachi Desai looks so cute with her double dimples. The other supporting artistes too have done it well.
The camera vividly potrays the rock band concert pretty lively.
Music by Sankar – Eshaan – Loy is out of this indian context with a truly international feel.The songs are soft rock and pretty much fits in the mood of the movie.The songs are so refreshing that you cant help but tapping your feet to it.
Abishek , the director has done a neat job with a very simple narration and is able to make people who havent listened to rock music even to watch and love the movie and music too.
On a whole , a very refreshing experience watching the celebration , the triumph of frienship and dreams above all mean things.
I wish to watch this movie once more , a movie not to be missed
Hmmm it’s quite some time since I blogged . Pissed off with ma work is one main reason and the other reason being my usual laziness.
One of the most foreseen hobby of any person would be LISTENING TO MUSIC . For me , its the same , I listen to songs like mad . And the kind of songs are those that give a pretty urbane feel .
Need no introduction . Already it reached patti – thotti , it’s an incredible song about friendship with some real refreshing rocking music by ARR . The Genius is back with a bang with most of the songs in the album declared chart busters.
Listened to the song in promos for just forty seconds and it impressed me . It’s an awesome melody . Thanks to these new wave of young directors , ARR is coming up with some real youthful catching music.
Another patti – thotti song . Nice melody again and kudos to the director for the beautiful montages that was a big bonus which made both the song and movie very popular.
Man , this is the first time I’m listening to rock music and believe me , it’s too good . I’m getting crazy about the ELECTRIC GUITAR and wish i play it very soon.Farhan Akthar has sung most of the songs and sankar mahadevan and co has given some truly different genre of songs in the album . Kudos to them , seems the movie too ROCKS big time.
Nice melody and get a nostalgic feeling listening to it . Pleasant to ears . Harris , who ever says your COPY CAT , i don’t really care ,your music is good .
Ma cube mates have really good patience for i play this song repeatedly for minimum of thrice in the evening everyday . The singer not sure whose is tat , has done fabulous job and Vijay Antony , good job , Keep it up .The nice rap interlude is nice .
Scintillating song sung by Harish Ragaevendra in his melliflous voice . The jeeva – harris combination has done the magic again . Harris great job again.This is my Caller Tune for some time now . Waiting to watch the Gangster gal , Kankana Ranaut soon . Boy O Boy , she looks cute.

Listening to music through ear phones is the last thing that I wanna do . I like to listen to songs using any external device however small sound output it may be . I wonder how some people listen to songs will their hands free all through the day round their neck like a mangal suthra .
Docs actually advice people not use ear phones too often . The magnets present in the ear phone may harm your ears since there are magnetic waves that are passed between these ear phones if you use it very often.Also it is advised to use ear phones for one ear alone for it can minimize the effect and so all u people out there , use it with care.
I always believe that love shouldn’t have a reason . Love has to grow with in us for some time and you would never know what’s happening until it reaches your nerves one fine day and you find that the one your in love with ,is the person whom you have been with for quite some time. It should takes it’s own time to grow and let it grow more and more deeper.
Some times back , I always wonder how arranged marriages work . May be some ten years back things are bit ok , but i don’t think that an arranged marriage where in a boy / gal who knew very little before hand get to start a new lease of life . And i also get to see a lot of love marraiges fail. It’s not marraiges that fail people , but its about people who fail marraiges.
Happened to read the book Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. It’s true that man and woman belong to two different planets in their way of thoughts , belief and way of living.So it becomes highly imperative that you understand each other well and have mutual respect for the other persons feelings, thoughts and freedom .
The moment the other person starts giving a different perspective to what the first person said , its assumed as the dawn of an argument. It gets personal there instantly.
The problem with most of us is, whenever some one is telling us some thing , instead of listening to what is said , we start preparing to give answers on what we feel about the same there by missing the whole point , on what is said.
It’s easy to tell that I’m in love but to prove and stand by what I meant needs a life time.
A guy expects his gal to be like his mom and a gal expects her hubby to be like her dad and when this expectation blew out of proposition , the problem starts.
The best possible thing that can be done is to accept the people for the way they are .Though it is good to speak what ever you feel very openly , please do be reminded of the fact that it can hurt people a lot . It may not be ok when you ask a sorry .Words can be too personal and it can affect a relationship to a great extent.It’s better to keep one’s mouth shut whenever some weird thoughts creeps across mind . They may be just passing cloud.

It’s exactly a year since my parents came chennai to be with me . Now they are shifting back to native . Though they moved few months back , we are just now shifting things back home.
I’m moving to a shared accommodation with my office colleagues at chrompet.
I’ve always been under constant change through out my life and am quite getting used to this.
I’ m not very sure whether change is a bliss or mess , but i feel a bit bad about it . It happens every time for me right since my child hood . It usually takes quite a great deal of time for me to get used to the environment and the people.And the moment , I start loving it , I move places . This is what happening every time , whenever i feel a bit comfortable over my life . And a sense of being insecure d , clings on to me.
Though there are a lot of good things about moving different places and meeting new people and making new friends , the bonding of having a strong relationship with friends is some thing i missed it quite badly.
Even now i stay in touch with all my school and college friends whom i have met in different places , but there is not much close bonding with them .It happens that the moment i get a feeling that i share a nice relation with some 1 either at office or near home , things change quite suddenly . Those good omens go off very soon.
For the past few months , I’ve been living an absolute lonely life spending most of my time at office and rest of my time with my pc at home. Being alone and lonely are quite different things . Some times being alone is a bliss and some time it is really head breaking.
But i’m quite kind of getting used to this and i started liking this and hence its time for again a change to a shared PG and yet an another change.
I’m not feeling any thing at the moment , but I’m quite excited and looking forward to see how well am i matured to react to change coz
Most of the youths in India in the age between 22-28 is obsessed with what is called as the Great Indian Dogma – the picture perfect , tranquil life of settling with a car , house and a partner . The average age by which a guy getting married nowadays has been reduced by a year or two suppose , the simple reason being they are able to place their life pretty decently.Another important reason is his working partner who is able to support the family pretty well.
We are what we see
Why is that most of the youth prefer to lead a life this way ? What inspires or motivates them to run into this inevitable.We are , what we see. The impressions that we form over the life is based on the environment that we live . Primarily it is with the parents and their attitude on what they believe can make a man’s life complete. During child hood, all our opinion and belief about our lives are what our dad/mad believe or talk about. Later on , as time passes by , the people whom we meet up with you at the school , college and at our work place helps us to form our very opinion of what life actually means.
The fact is that most of us believe that a highly secured , peaceful job and a good family constitutes of having achieved the essence of life.Hence it leaves an ever lasting impression in every one’s heart right from the teens that to live a life well settled is the purpose of life.And we work towards that ultimate goal of achieving the same. Many of us wouldn’t want to take a risk to pursue on their dreams for the simple reason that they wish to get settled soon .
The Fear Factor
The moment we have a family to look out for, our guts to take on the world and stand for our dream vanishes . Succeeding in our dreams or ambitions becomes secondary and security of thee and our family takes the priority. We fear at change because for the very sake of relocating family and at times children education getting affected.Hence we accept our self made fate that to work on some thing which we don’t love and start grunting and cribbing about it ultimately.
Do you Love your work?
When you don’t love your job , you can’t lead a happy life
As a result of the fore mentioned fear factor ,we slowly shift from doing things which we love to work, to work which can pay well irrespective of our love for the same .And this sacrifice is made for the very sake of spending some quality time with the family and for financial stability .For some time , things would appear to be fine that we feel like earning enough for paying the EMI and a high quality living , but sooner or later , the hate for doing work which we don’t have any love for starts creeping in.
What if we don’t like our work
And when we don’t love what we work ,a feeling of queasiness engulfs us. This could be widely seen for the guys( like me) who actually may easily bored with stuffs like seeing our child grow up the big way , our wifey may find it more interesting to look after and spend time with the child . Though we would happy to be ad mist our family and like spending some quality time with children , life wouldn’t be that exciting as each passing day , the very reason because , you get some inertia over your work which your not loving.
We have money , we have a decent life with family and friends , but the question is about , are we happy with our work ? To this , nearly 70 to 80 % of them would say a BIG No-No.
Being happy and satisfied with our work and environment in our life is some thing very very important . We spend most of the time at our work and at times , there may be a hang over which we may even bring it back home and suddenly we start feeling unhappy even though we have a picture perfect tranquil life as said before .
How to overcome this :
Never ever settle in life until u found the love of your life – the ideal work which makes u go mad over it .Even if the craziness oozes after some time like how it happens with a gal friend , start searching for a new work , new passion once again , same as with how u find another gal friend. This would actually keep yourself moving forward . Each day u would be dealing with your new found passion and challenge that at the end of day , U feel happy over embracing the work which u love to do.
Plan what we wanted from life . What is our idea of life . Money , Achievement,Dreams – what is that for which your running for . Make sure , partner understands you , your dreams and wishes on how you wanna place your life. On what progress you can make in life and in what time lines will you be able to reach it.
And when your highly successful in what you love , money and fame would come to you .

Having a very concrete plan will help one selves to live a life that he loves .We may even fall by leaps and bounds on our pursuit of dreams but it can bring us lot of happiness for having tried some thing we loved.
I was bit skeptic about this movie Dasavathaaram(D-10) since there was so much hype and hoola over it . Also it was running to packed houses at Chennai with Mayajaal screening 45 shows a day that tickets weren’t available easily.There were many heated discussions about the movie not being up to the critical acclaim though its declared a commercial box office hit .
So I went for the movie with out any sort of expectations . But it was a pleasant surprise for me , I liked the movie pretty much and found a few interesting things.
Kamal as an awesome script’ist’:
Kamal has confirmed his place on becoming one of the finest script writers in the county .The screen play is in the lines of the Oscar winning movies like crash and babel . To see it in a tamil movie is amazing . The screen play is not very depth made to accommodate all ten roles and stories. Kamal’s genius comes to the forte on how he is able to handle diversified subjects woven well into a single point . His class act with regarding to dealing with history , science , poetry , contemporary issues and his stake on atheism with ease deserves special mention.
The movie is a thorough entertainer. It’s not serious to the full , there are many hilarious moments sprinkled well into it that you can’t stop laughing at few scenes in the movie.The camera and back ground music is impressive . The graphics are good but in some scenes could have avoided it for it looks like an animation movie.
The initial 15 minutes of the movie are too good on any account touching international standards.The action sequences are first rate and the manner in which each episode unveils makes the audiences glued to the seat.
Performances:
Kamal has excelled in his performances . It’s evident that not a single character was let loose simply for the sake of creating a world record with 10 avatars.Though the voice modulation couldn’t be greatly varied , he has managed to do it with his excellent body languages.
The high point of the movie is it would be accepted universally by all , it is for the front row to the multiplex audiences. There is some thing for the die hard critic to a lay man to watch out for.
I guess K.S.Ravi kumar’s role as a director is certainly a big plus for he is able to carry forward the movie with out much fuss and confusion. His part is pretty crucial in the box office success.
Verdict :
D-10 is an important mile stone in taking Tamil Cinema to the next level.Good work guys . Thumbs up
I find no time to blog , Absolutely no time .Life is going pretty fast and i don’t have time for many of the basic things which i should stick to doing it regularly hence.Of late I’m reading a lot of books most of them technical stuffs when ever i find time and it makes me feel whether am a MORON to read such books over the weekend instead of hitting it out some where near by.Let me muse my life’s hot happenings now .
-My family -dad ,mom and granny who was with me for nearly over a year has now moved back to native owing to granny’s illness . My sister meanwhile has settled down in tirunelveli and is living with my parents now . That’s actually very nice for my dad and mom to come out of the mega serial closet and spend time with their grand children. By the way , my mom is talking to me daily and she seems to be occupied with every one over there.
-Meanwhile I’m actually confused over whether to continue in the same house or to move nearer to the office.Since my house is at tamabaram , many of my friends who stay at chennai wont prefer due to the prolonging commute reasons.Yet to decide whether i should move close to office or stay here with some one on a shared accommodation .
-Life has been pretty much the same nowadays and i’m busy as usual with a loads of works at office. Life is seemingly moving pretty fast that i could sense friday coming up every week very soon.My project is in the verge of completion and we hope the BETTER TIMES ARE ABOUT TO COME to sit and relax life .
-New found interest is to drive through the ECR by bike during night time . Travelling by bike in fresh cool air is actually quite refreshing.The fun part is watching the mid night shows out there in mayajaal, the show starts at 11:40 or 12:00 and we were surprised to see few crazy people like us watch movie that late.It was sheer fun and pleasure .
-Found a new beach to visit . It’s actually very close to VGP Golden Beach not sure abt the area and de name of de beach but very few know about the same. It was so calm sans any mad crowd and is actually very pleasant . Hope to visit it frequently.
-Chennai is pretty hot nowadays . Inorder to escape it , i’m hitting office by 8.30 that gives me pretty much rare chance of seeing the vibrant sun.Could feel the same during the weekends when at home . Hoping for a bit of rain soon.
-Watching a lot of english movies nowadays at home through the torrents and this is one not to be missed during the weekends.Listening to Jaanae Tu … ARR back to lovely form after a long time tuning for a very young romantic movie.Awaiting to watch DHAAM DHOOM , Director Jeeva’s last movie .Harris has given some amazing music for the movie.
-IPL is this year’s SUMMER TREAT . Hope people spend less time watching cricket thanks to 20-20 cricket.And I hope India’s cricketing talent has come to the fore and the bench strength would be quite healthy hence. The teams which reached finals didn’t have any star players yet they managed to come through a long way.
-The Rentals at Chennai is skyrocketing and people and the government are helpless about it. Is there really a way to curb this . Hot discussions are being carried out very often and it is concluded that it is becoz of the hopeless SE’s.
And finally what i’m searching for is a SPARK with in me . Spark that people believe could take them through the life’s next level and give them a very bright change.
Reading is one thing which adds value every time we read through , even the same stuff over and over again , most of the time you would get better insight into the scheme of things which we would have never assumed !
Reading tech related books is my latest profound hobby. And the interesting thing about it is , I’m not skimming through any new path breaking tech but on those in which i work. Initially i thought the book is primitive as I was working in the same tech for quite some time.But to my surprise , reading those basic funda book has kept me perplexing about things and made me feel WTF do i know abt wat my work and technology.
Its high time i retract back and read almost every funda book related to my tech.I wonder whether it happens to me or to everyone but the moment i start working on some time after a very small time , i tend to get bored out of it and wish to do some things of relative high complexity.
For instance , right now am working on jsf with spring framework.As for a s/w developer , the requirement doesn’t need us to be expert in springs but just do some relatively easier jsp and all we need to do is just know how to use the framework.
This is the problem which keeps me grunting about my work.The knowledge which i get to work on a project is pretty specific . Its limited to just knowing how to use some technology to match the requirement.
What excites me more is to understand the need for existence of any technology and to imagine the turmoils of not having it in place.This way we’ll able to appreciate the same and get a better perspective.
And my company doesn’t pay to know about this but to finish the allocated work in time else would kick my ass off.Hence trying to put some time off from my usual entertainment and find time to read some good tech books.
Hope the thrust to read ,keeps sticking to me atleast for some time
What a poetic title is what all i could say ! Of course when you have some one like Nayanthara in the movie this gets even prettier and more apt. I wonder how Selvaraghavan is able to come up with such a pretty romantic script with out any sort of eccentricity as his movie is known for.Yaaradi … is a feel good movie,an absolute family entertainer.
The story is pretty simple– boy falls in love with gal — gal denies it coz she already engaged –hero has a friend — and obvious the friend would have been engaged to the gal the boy loved– and finally the friend would give way for love .
But the screen play actually saves the movie for the most part.The humor that has been laced through out is the strong forte of movie.
Danush once again plays the role of a carefree youth, has actually delivered one hell of a performance. Have no words to describe his flawless performance which has the right mix of everything right from humor,body language , dialogs delivery to showing off emotions.
Nayanthara looks ravishing on the screen .Words should have fallen in place for the lyricist easily when needed to write a song about her beauty.But her performance lacks substance and doesn’t seem to be natural at least in the first half .
The on screen chemistry between the lead pair is actually pretty good.
Sad to see raghuvaran in his last movie , he has excelled in the role.His body language in the movie shows the ailing actor’s health actually.The sweet interludes between dad and son is narrated impeccably.
The most pitiest guy in the movie is Karthik who is the friend of Danush engaged to Nayan . Come on people , give him some good roles , he’s capable actor . He again plays the role similar to Alaipayuthaey , Kanda Naal Mudhal.
The music by Yuvan actually lacks the magical touch for a Selva’s movie .Both Yuvan/director has to be beaten right , left and center for having let Udit Narayan sing a song the most horrible way.Alteast teach him tamil for the sake of hopeless soul who are tuning their ears to listen for the songs.
The pick of the album for me is O..Baby , an item song with a strong love feeling .Nice attempt actually. There is one song which i’m not sure whether remixed from yester-year movies , but actually was quite entertaining to watch.All other songs are OK.
The movie has Selva’s touch at places . One instant is when Nayan asks Danush whether her sister looks prettier than her and holding his hand saying ‘Feeling a lot better…’.And the dad-son bonding is actually the second time selva has shown it after 7/G in the most impressive way .What i wished is for more of the romance between the lead pair than getting into the usual family kinda of senti grudge.There are few instances which are quite natural and handled wonderfully but some are superficial and way out of normalcy.
The most anguishing fact is the way how IT environment has been portrayed in the movie. It can’ t get stupid than this . Too much of exaggeration.It actually evokes a loud laughter from the folks who work for the same.
Another disturbing stuff is the way how the lady love’s character sketched these days in movies.The guy loves a gal , she denies it for some reason . The hero gets overboard over the denial. It’s so disturbing to see the choice of words spoken by these heroes blaming gals for some stupid reasons even when the gal is not reprehensible in anyway .And for how long in tamil movies , the gal changes her mind the previous night of her wedding. Common people gimme a break !
Overall the movie is quite entertaining for the most part.
Of late , Life has been at it’s bloody best .There’s nothing to find or read new and write about it . It’s the same code and crap over and over again.
Working late nights has been my recent found pleasure . Believe me , it’s damn good and the brain is active pretty intensively.The calmness and the serene ambiance is a blessing and the soothing music i listen during my return home is incredible.
Just now discovered pretty cool songs from an album Kaadhal Viruz , the songs make me go crazy.
